Duties
Willowbrook Middle School is looking for an energetic teacher to join our team beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Qualified applicants would possess a passion for teaching Math/Reading to middle school students in grades 5th-8th.
- Actively supporting the mission of the school and district, "Students First, Always."
- Provide targeted small-group and individual reading and math interventions to support student growth and close learning gaps.
- Actively pursues professional development about best practices and evidence-based resources for below-level learners.
- Use assessment data to identify student needs, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to coordinate interventions and support student success.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans aligned with district curriculum and student needs.
- Maintain accurate records, participate in MTSS/RTI processes, and engage in ongoing professional learning to improve instructional practices.
- Facilitate Response to Intervention Tier 2 and 3 instruction.
- Participate in school improvement initiatives.
- Inform parents and students of academic and behavioral progress, concerns, and long-range expectations.
- Analyze student academic Math and Reading data to improve individual student and school-wide performance.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics & Reading Endorsement.
