Duties
The Transitional Teacher and Vocational Coordinator is responsible for providing direct instructional services as a primary responsibility, while also developing, coordinating, and supporting work-based learning opportunities for high school students. The position provides transition-focused academic and employability instruction aligned with student IEP goals, while helping students explore careers, build workplace readiness skills, and participate in internships, job placements, and other vocational experiences. The Coordinator collaborates with students, teachers, administrators, families, local businesses, and community agencies to create meaningful transitional experiences that support post-secondary employment, education, and independent living outcomes.
