Duties
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and deliver music education curriculum for K-8 grade students.
- Cooperation with Building Principal and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies, open house, parent meetings and seasonal programs.
- Plan and collaborates with teachers.
- Integrate technology into lessons.
- Confers with students, parents, and school personnel to resolve student problems.
- Communicates student progress with parents.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
General Music Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Job Summary:
The music teacher develops in each pupil an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; teaches techniques of vocal and/or instrumental music expression; develops talents of pupils in the field of music; develops knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator’s License with a music education certification.
- Willingness to sponsor and/or participate in extra-curricular activities.
Salary/Benefits
$56,364-$67,370 | Health & Dental Insurance | Retirement

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Perform the physical tasks necessary to monitor, supervise and physically assist students throughout the school day during a variety of instructional activities. Must be able to function effectively in an active, loud environment. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment as circumstances require.
