Duties
- Provide instruction for General Music (Grades K-4).
- Direct and manage Choir (Grades 5-8).
- Direct and manage Band (Grades 5-8).
- Prepare students for concerts, school performances, contests and festivals.
- Schedule concerts and programs.
- Maintain, inventory, care, and organization of instruments, sheet music, sound system, and other music equipment.
- Assist students and families with instrument selection, rental and care.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement in Music.
- Ability to teach General Music (Grades K-4) and direct Choir and Band (Grades 5-8).
Salary/Benefits
- Salary range is $46,753 (Bachelors, first year) through $80,983 (Masters+32, 21st year).
- District pays full TRS in addition to listed salary, 12 sick days, 2 personal days.
