Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned physical education curriculum
• Promote physical fitness, nutrition awareness, and healthy lifestyle habits
• Ensure student safety by maintaining equipment and supervising activities
• Assess student progress in skill development, participation, and fitness goals
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse physical abilities and learning needs
• Establish clear expectations for behavior, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Maintain accurate attendance and grading records
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
• Support or coach extracurricular or athletic programs as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

• Valid state teaching license in Physical Education in grades 6-8
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills
• Knowledge of adolescent physical development and strength-training principles
• Experience or training in weight room instruction or supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary/Benefits

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience as determined by a competitive salary schedule. Other benefits include:
