Human Resources Process and Systems Support
- Assist the HR Manager with implementing HR processes, and system rollouts, and ensuring compliance with District and State reporting requirements.
- Support HR Specialists in resolving complex or time-sensitive issues.
- Collaborate with buildings and departments to ensure accurate and timely staffing updates across HR platforms.
Human Resources Operations
- Manage extended leave processes, including FMLA, Sick Bank Borrow, and ADA requests for administrative and licensed staff.
- Oversee State-Mandated training compliance, ensuring effective communication and tracking.
- Conduct annual audits for Sick Bank Pay Back, staff exits, and Skyward data maintenance.
- Respond to unemployment claims and support the Executive Director with reporting and documentation.
- Ensure accurate completion of mandatory ISBE reports and District Seniority Lists for applicable groups.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding of licensed staff, including Skyward tasks and exit interviews.
- Serve as the primary contact for retirement inquiries from Educational Support Personnel, collaborating with the Business Office.
- Manage the Glenbrook Summer Camp program operations and compliance.
- Maintains the athletic and extracurricular stipends, District-wide.
Recruitment and Outreach
- Lead recruitment efforts, including planning, outreach, and networking for District 225 positions.
- Contribute to hiring strategy improvements as part of the Hiring Toolkit Committee.
- Provide guidance and resources to Hiring Managers during recruitment processes.
Compliance & Policy Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, CBAs, and policies regarding certification, staffing, evaluations, and other HR areas.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
- Oversee compliance with Faith’s Law requirements and maintain associated records.
- Monitor and manage licensure and endorsements for licensed personnel.
- Protect employee records and personal data in accordance with confidentiality laws.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain active participation in HR-related professional organizations, such as IASPA and AASPA.
- Stay current on legal and regulatory changes impacting recruitment, staffing, mandated training, retirement programs, and reduction-in-force procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Manager and the Executive Director of Human Resources.
