Director of Human Resources-School Year 2026-2027

Duties

  • Confidentiality
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law
  • Manage recruitment and termination of employees
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events
  • Drafts and implements the budget for the human resource department
  • Provides guidance and resources to all district administrators
  • Maintains and updates the employee evaluation technology system
  • Monitors the implementation of union contracts
  • Responsible for listening to employee concerns, conducting investigations, and recommending appropriate consequences if necessary.
  • Responsible for the updating and maintaining job descriptions
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Development and updating of Human Resource manual

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or Human Resources
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of current technology and related software applications
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Self-starter/Self motivated
  • Works well independently and on a team
  • Must meet deadlines
  • Good customer service
  • Must foster and maintain positive and effective working relationships
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • SHRM-CP or pHCLE

Salary/Benefits

  • $90,000-$125,000
  • 15 Sick Days
  • 3 Personal Days
  • 20 Vacation Days
