Duties
Sangamon Valley is looking for a dynamic and dedicated teacher who has the passion and patience deserved of our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for Art in grades K-8. The successful candidate will travel between Sangamon Valley Primary School (K-2) in Harristown and Sangamon Valley Intermediate and Middle Schools (3-8) in Illiopolis. Coaching opportunities and club sponsorships are also available.
Qualifications
Sangamon Valley CUSD #9 is seeking an organized and collaborative individual to serve as an Art instructor. A professional educator license (or ability to obtain a provisional license), and proof of successful teaching experience is preferred. The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with and motivate stakeholders in a way that facilitates positive growth in both students and staff.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is regionally competitive and based on the current collective bargaining agreement. The school district pays 100% of the employee's health insurance and retirement. You can access the current contract here: SVEA Contract.
