Duties
* Plan and deliver dynamic, standards-aligned lessons in social studies
* Teach topics such as world history, U.S. history, geography, government, and economics
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
* Develop assessments to evaluate students progress and inform instruction
* Incorporate primary and secondary sources, technology, and interactive activities
* Encourage discussion, debate, and inquiry-based learning
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
* Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
Qualifications
* Valid state teaching license in Social Studies in grades 6-8
* Strong classroom management skills
* Knowledge of state standards and curriculum frameworks
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
* Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience as determined by a
competitive salary schedule. Other benefits include:
