Duties
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Junior High Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, collaborate with general education teachers, and ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and services to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Unity Junior High School has approximately 370 students from 5 different rural communities and is located 8 miles south of the University of Illinois campus. Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
* Valid state teaching certification/licensure in Special Education
* Knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and special education compliance
requirements
* Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies

Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience as determined by a
