Duties

The AlWood School District will have an opening for District Superintendent beginning July 1, 2027.  The Superintendent will be the Chief Executive Officer for the District.  The Board of Education would like this new leader to work with the outgoing superintendent periodically during the 2026-2027 school year to make a smooth transition for the AlWood CUSD #225, beginning July 1, 2027.  

Qualifications

• ISBE Professional Educator License with Superintendent Endorsement
• Principal/Teacher Evaluator Designation
• Proven educational leadership in current school district
• Successful experience as an administrator with the ability to lead a rural PreK-12 unit district 

Salary/Benefits

Contract will be negotiated with selected candidate. 

Additional Notes

AlWood CUSD #225 is a great rural school district in Illinois serving over 350 students.  The elementary school is in Alpha, Illinois and the middle/high school is in Woodhull, Illinois.
