Duties
The position is an Elementary Assistant Principal/Director of Early Childhood. Responsibilities of the Elementary Assistant Principal/Director of Early Childhood include assisting with daily school activities as well as promoting a vision of overall school and instructional improvement. Support the Washington Elementary principal in instructional leadership, teacher evaluation, student attendance, and student discipline. This position leads Early Childhood program operations while securing and managing grant funding to sustain and grow services. The applicant will bring strategic leadership, staff development, and a commitment to high-quality early learning experiences for children and families.
Qualifications
The individual must hold an Administrative Type 75 License with background elementary teaching is preferred. The individual should be a proactive, organized, and open-minded leader who works well with others, is visible in the school and community, is supportive of all academic and student activities, and is able to maintain a positive learning environment for students and teachers. The individual must be a motivator who has strong communication, collaboration, and listening skills and is able to use technology to assist in school improvement. Administrative experience is preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is based on experience and is competitive for the area and position. The salary range is between $70,000-$80,000. Health Insurance and TRS are fully paid. The contract will be a 200 day administrative contract.
