Duties

K-5 general music, 5th grade beginning band, 6th grade band and 7-12th grade band.  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in K-12 music (or the ability to obtain certification).
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and challenge students.
• Experience or willingness to implement student-centered, project-based, and literacy-focused instruction.
• Knowledge of writing instruction, research-based literacy strategies, and assessment best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Salary/Benefits

2026-2027 salary range: $41,715 - $71,685. Board paid TRS, 14 sick days, 3 personal days, health, dental, and vision insurance.
