Duties
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Be directly responsible to the principal and the superintendent.
- Administer disciplinary program and attendance reporting for the assigned portion of the student population.
- Attend School Board meetings; attend Board committee meetings when assigned.
- Perform student supervision at academic, athletic, and extracurricular events.
- Provide leadership for the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the educational program.
- Evaluate teaching staff and participate in informal "walk-through" classroom visits as assigned.
- Evaluate support staff as assigned.
- Participate in the supervision of custodial/maintenance/security personnel.
- Participate in the meetings of the Department Chairs, Academic Excellence Team, Administrative Team, SOS (Staff Offering Support), and others requiring administrative leadership.
- Assist the superintendent and principal in recruitment and staffing of personnel as assigned.
- Participate in the review of the student handbook and district policies, and shall make suggestions to add, delete, and/or modify policies and procedures as needed.
- Utilize data to analyze program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and design/implement initiatives for improvements.
- Promote a positive school climate and interpersonal relationships among students, employees, parents, and community members.
- Work with other members of the administrative team to jointly oversee and evaluate ACR (Alternative Classroom), lunch detention, study hall, and other related intervention and disciplinary programming.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, registration/orientation of students, and staff professional development as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary/Benefits
SALARY RANGE: $86,000-$100,000
This position is eligible for medical/dental/vision/life insurance, HSA, EAP services, paid time-off, tuition reimbursement, TRS (Teacher Retirement System), and 401(k).
