- Demonstrate effective teaching practices.
- Recognize individual student learning needs and develop strategies to address those needs.
- Use multiple student data points to modify instruction and improve student learning.
- Provide clear and intentional focus on subject matter content and culturally responsive curriculum.
- Foster and manage a safe, positive, strength-based learning environment.
- Communicate and collaborate in a strength-based manner with colleagues, parents and the school community.
- Provide instruction of social and emotional skills.
Qualifications
Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in comprehensive education in a supportive and positive climate that develops each student’s skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards. - Excellent communication skills

Salary/Benefits
Ten-month year. Starting Salary: $55,000.00

Additional Notes
Job Goal: Delivering instruction in an environment favorable to learning and personal growth of students enrolled in an alternative education setting; establishing effective rapport with students; motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for becoming a healthy, happy, responsible citizen.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree – Valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License in appropriate field. Preferably Math/Science endorsements
