Duties
Cissna Park CUSD 6 is accepting applications for one (1) Part-time Instructional Coach position for the 2026-2027 school year:
- One position will primarily serve Grades K-12
Position Overview
The Instructional Coach supports teachers in improving instructional practices, implementing curriculum, and increasing student achievement. Coaches provide job-embedded professional learning, model best practices, and collaborate with staff to strengthen teaching and learning across the school and district. This position includes non-evaluative observations and feedback focused on coaching and supporting teachers.
Primary Responsibilities
Instructional Support
- Provide classroom coaching cycles including co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, and reflection
- Support implementation of research-based instructional strategies aligned to district curriculum and standards
- Analyze student work, assessment data, and learning trends to guide instructional decisions
- Assist with differentiation, intervention, enrichment planning, EL strategies, SPED strategies, and classroom management
- Model high-quality instructional practices, including formative assessment and classroom management strategies
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement
- Develop staff knowledge and skills through targeted professional development
- Maintain strong communication and collaborative relationships with staff
- Engage in professional and critical conversations aimed at growth
Planning & Documentation
- Create articulated schedules with building administration
- Assist with lesson planning, pacing, and development of differentiated lessons
- Submit weekly coaching logs and pertinent coaching documentation
- Support data-driven decision-making at all levels
Additional Expectations
- Provide resources, materials, and tools to support classroom instruction
- Stay current with instructional research, state standards, and best practices

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license
- Minimum 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Minimum 3 years of instructional coaching experience
- Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and adult learning theory
- Proven ability to analyze student-level data and support data-driven decision-making
- Experience with MTSS, differentiation, Special Education, EL, classroom management, and instructional strategies

Salary/Benefits
Salary and Benefits are based on the negotiated salary agreement, pending approval. Extra-duty stipends may be available.
