Facilities Manager

Duties

  1. Supervises, plans, directs, trains, and evaluations Operations and Facilities staff.  These duties include, but are not limited to:
    1. Recommends the hiring, transfer or termination of staff.
    2. Has the authority to discipline employees.
    3. Has the authority to adjust level one grievances.
    4. Prepares written evaluations annually.
  2. Manage a Preventative Maintenance Program.
  3. Manage the procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to ensure a safe, secure, and properly maintained environment.
  4. Inspect the District grounds and buildings frequently to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  5. Promote team development through effective communication and positive leadership.
  6. Assist the Director of Operations and Facilities in establishing and maintaining the department budget including the review of bills for accuracy and proper accounting.
  7. Manage staffing for all school events.
  8. Maintain District assets inventory and equipment list for all supplies, furniture, equipment, machinery, vehicles, etc.
  9. Manage District sustainable initiatives as recommended by the District's Sustainability Committee.
  10. Ensure that the District's Facilities Scheduling system for all district events is being utilized effective to support staff needs.

Qualifications

1. Certification:  N/A  

2. Education:

  1. Required –  Associate's Degree
  2. Preferred –  Associate's Degree with courses in building maintenance

3. Experience: 

  1. Required –  Five (5) years' experience in related field, management and supervisory experience, extensive experience in HVAC systems, associated equipment, security systems including building access programs, security cameras, Facilities Scheduling, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, inventory control, purchasing, school accounting and coding bills.
  2. Preferred – Five (5) years' experience in related field, management and supervisory experience, extensive experience in HVAC systems, associated equipment, security systems including building access programs, security cameras, Facilities Scheduling, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, inventory control, purchasing, school accounting and coding bills in a public school system.

Salary/Benefits

$95,000 - $105,000.  Based on experience and education.
