Duties

Cumberland C.U.S.D. 77 is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Autism teaching position for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

The Autism teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that meet the needs of autistic students, creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Education License Teaching
• Current endorsement LBS1 Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with autistic learners
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience
• Expertise in Behavior Management strategies
• Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s)
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
• Ability to work cooperatively with others

Salary/Benefits

Per CEA Contract ($51,010 - $90,316).
