Duties
The District Technician is responsible for assisting in setup,
configuration, and maintenance of all District owned technology. Provide all levels of
technical support to both students and staff. This is an entry level position
Qualifications
Associates Degree in Computer Related Studies required,
Bachelors degree preferred. Experience with iOS, ChromeOS, Windows, and MacOS
platforms.
Salary/Benefits
$50,000. This position qualifies for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund
Additional Notes
Provides technical support to students and staff,
including training on technology use, device and software setup, troubleshooting,
repairs, backups, patch management, firewall maintenance, user account
administration (Active Directory and Google Workspace), and monitoring network
infrastructure (LAN/WAN, servers, phones, and peripherals). Assists the Network/System
Administrator with inventory, documentation, vendor coordination, and system
upgrades, while obtaining required certifications during the first contract year.
