Duties
The School Nurse will assess the health needs of students; develop emergency care plans and individual health plans, incorporating input from parents and/or physicians; comply with laws relating to student health; provide appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; provide health information and serve as a resource to parents, teachers, staff, and administrators; and identify health problems for referral for proper treatment.
Qualifications
Completion of an approved school nurse certification program for entitlement recommendation for Professional Educator License with endorsement in school nursing. Passing of the School Nurse Content examination through the Illinois State Board of Education Can be completed after hiring.
Salary/Benefits
This position starts at $42,000 with an entry level degree. This is a TRS/IMRF eligible position.
