Head Football Coach APPLY ONLINE Share: Print: Duties Head Football Coach: Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the football program, including varsity and JV levels as applicable Establish a program culture aligned with Catholic values, emphasizing integrity, respect, and servant leadership Teach and develop fundamental football skills, strategies, and techniques appropriate to each level Supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches Organize and conduct practices, games, and work with off-season conditioning programs Ensure compliance with IHSA, conference, diocesan, and school policies Promote academic accountability and positive behavior among student-athletes Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administrators, and faculty Oversee equipment, uniforms, and facilities in coordination with the Athletic Director Support student-athlete safety, including concussion protocols and injury prevention Encourage multi-sport participation and collaboration with other school programs Represent the school professionally at games, meetings, and community events Qualifications Prior high school or collegiate football coaching experience preferred Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a comprehensive football program Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Background check and safe environment training as required by the Diocese Compliance with all school and diocesan employment policies Teaching certification or experience working in an educational setting Experience building and sustaining a positive team culture Knowledge of football rules, strategies, and player development Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes from diverse backgrounds Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid coaching certifications as required by the state, diocese, and IHSA Salary/Benefits Salary based on Marquette Academy Coaching Salary stipend scale How to Apply Please submit IASA Job Bank Application, resume and references to Marquette Academy attn: Athletics 1000 Paul st.
