Duties
Instructional Leadership
- Provide strong leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessment aligned to state standards and district initiatives.
- Support high-quality Tier 1 instruction and effective MTSS practices to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of all learners.
- Observe classrooms regularly, provide timely and meaningful feedback, and support teacher growth through coaching and professional learning.
- Lead data-informed decision making to improve student achievement and close achievement gaps.
School Culture and Climate
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive school culture built on respect, accountability, and strong relationships. Promote student engagement, attendance, and positive behavior through clear expectations and restorative practices.
- Support social-emotional learning and student well-being.
Staff Leadership and Development
- Recruit, hire, support, and evaluate staff in alignment with district expectations and state requirements.
- Facilitate ongoing professional learning focused on instructional improvement, collaboration, and reflective practice.
- Build collective efficacy and a collaborative team culture.
Operations and Management
- Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, supervision, safety procedures, and building management.
- Manage the school budget and resources responsibly to support instructional priorities.
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Family and Community Engagement
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and the community.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and community stakeholders to support student success.
- Serve as a visible and approachable leader within the school community.
