Duties

• Will be expected to be the instructional leader of the building with a strong knowledge
  in curriculum and instruction in literacy, math, science and social studies, classroom
  management, and staff climate and culture
• The ability to effectively evaluate faculty and staff in order to improve instruction
• Effectively supervise students to create a sense of community and respect
• Work harmoniously with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative team to
  effectuate a district mission

Qualifications

• Proper Professional Educator License with a General Administrative Endorsement for
  Grades PreK-12
• Primary School experience is preferred, but not mandatory
• Expected start date - 8/1/2026; Position will be filled as soon as a suitable applicant is found

Salary/Benefits

• The 11-month position compensation package includes: Health and Dental benefits; board paid
  TRS; and a negotiated salary with a minimum base of $80,000

Midwest Central Primary serves approximately 425 students in grades PreK–5. The school is supported by an assistant principal, allowing the principal to focus on instructional leadership and school climate. Midwest Central Primary has a long-standing commitment to curricular and instructional improvement and was designated an ISBE Exemplary School in 2024. Student achievement continues to improve annually. The school is staffed by a highly dedicated team of teachers and support staff committed to making it an outstanding place to work and learn.

Midwest Central is located 15 miles south of Pekin in Central Illinois. The district is with 35 minutes from Peoria and 45-50 minutes from the Bloomington-Normal area.
