Duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY:
General Administration
- Keeps the Superintendent and central administration informed of matters that may impact district operations
- Participates in professional meetings, trainings, and educational associations to remain current with best practices
- Communicates effectively in both oral and written format
- Uses effective planning strategies, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and maintains attention to detail
- Demonstrates sound budgetary judgment and fiscal responsibility
- Maintains a positive, purposeful, and professional attitude
- Ensures implementation of district policy and compliance with legal and statutory requirements
- Exercises sound decision-making skills
- Completes required reports and requested information in a timely and accurate manner
Business Operations
- Oversees all aspects of the district’s transportation program
- Oversees the district’s food service/lunch program
- Prepares and presents the annual tax levy to the Board of Education
- Estimates revenues and expenditures to develop the annual district budget in collaboration with the Superintendent
- Manages and oversees the district’s group insurance plan, including coverage, rates, and presents the renewal package to the Board of Education
- Develops, implements, and monitors efficient and accurate business office procedures to ensure proper accounting of all district revenues and expenditures
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates business office staff
- Prepares bid specifications and recommends vendors for the purchase of supplies, equipment, and contractual services
- Coordinates all financial aspects of federal, state, and local grants and projects
- Prepares and submits financial reports as required
- Collaborates with the Director of Buildings and Grounds to oversee and coordinate major building projects
- Performs all other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or designee

Salary/Benefits
$110,000/minimum; plus fringe benefits
