Peru Elementary District #124 is seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal to join the Administrative Team in its effort to carry out the District’s Mission, “Preparing our students to learn, grow, and reach their greatest potential.”

The Assistant Principal supports our Mission by demonstrating a "whatever it takes” approach to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment for all students. The position assists with instructional leadership, staff support, student support services, instructional coaching, family engagement and efficient and effective daily operations.
To succeed, candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, professionalism, character, integrity, be trustworthy, organized and able to effectively manage a multitude of tasks, and have a desire to work in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License, including a K-12 Principal/General Administrative endorsement through an accredited university and must have completed or be willing to complete by August 1 the required teacher evaluation modules. Successful K-12 public education experience and excellent professional references are required. An elementary professional background is required and relevant leadership experience is preferred.
Salary/Benefits
The initial performance-based contract will be for a multi-year period, with a duration of 210 days, a minimum base salary of $80,000 and a competitive benefit package. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
