The Peoria School District is seeking an outstanding educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate will:

• Provide visionary leadership

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills that motivate and engage all constituents.

• Invest in the Peoria community by being visible, approachable, and available throughout the district’s schools and community at large, at all times.

• Build on the academic success of the school district by expanding current offerings and adding new initiatives that will continue to close the achievement gap.

• Maintain fiscal responsibility and understand how to allocate resources effectively to support the district’s diverse population and facilities.

• Lead with confidence and decisiveness, have high moral values, and be resilient in their decision-making.

• Maintain organizational accountability when making operational decisions and understand the value of including others in the decision-making process.

• Serve as the face of the district and the primary spokesperson to represent its vision, goals, and accomplishments to the community, board, and staff that cast the district in a positive light.

• Promote the Board and Superintendent relationship that fosters trust, transparency, and accountability for all.

Residency in the district is required.
