Pro-rated to the actual start date salary based on an annual salary range of $60,000-$75,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:
Work collaboratively with special education teachers, Support Team, and school staff in understanding the needs of students with special needs as specified in their Individualized Education Plan. Effectively work with team members to assess, teach, and monitor skills needed to secure, post-secondary opportunity, including employment.

Be sensitive to the physical and learning styles of students with respect to their identified disabilities.

Promote student respect for the rights of others in the classroom.

Recognize safety and health hazards and work to eliminate them.

Attend department meetings.

Work with the Director of Special Education, Special Education Divisional Director, and other staff members in curriculum development focused on the vocational needs of students.

Maintain positive professional relations with colleagues.

Hold high expectations for all students and demonstrate a deep belief that all students can learn and succeed.

Communicate openly with students, staff, parents and other stakeholders regarding student’s achievement and progress in the classroom.

Commit to equity and eliminating systemic obstacles for students of color.
