Driver's Education Teacher

Duties

Marian Catholic High School is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Driver's Education Teacher who is interested in joining our school community which is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory high school within the Dominican tradition of study, prayer, community, and preaching.  

  • Plan and deliver engaging Driver’s Education curriculum aligned with state standards.
  • Provide classroom instruction covering traffic laws, road signs driving techniques, and safe driving practices.
  • Conduct behind-the-wheel training and road skill assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student driving records and progress reports.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all lessons comply with state laws and school policies
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school administration to schedule classes, driving sessions, and testing.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute positively to the overall school community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
  • Valid state teaching certification with a Driver's education endorsement/certification.
  • Proven experience in teaching high school students preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong classroom management and discipline skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Passion for student learning and a commitment to professional growth
  • Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred. 

Salary/Benefits

Salary: no less than $43,000
