Duties
GOALS – OBJECTIVES:
- Serve as an effective instructional leader of the Cairo Jr/Sr High School.
- Be responsible for the efficient administration of the Cairo Jr/Sr High School assigned in regards to the organization, safety, and supervision of all programs and activities at the Jr/Sr High School.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively interpret and implement all Board of Education policies, district rules and regulations, and administrative directives.
- Supervise the instructional programs; evaluate and amend all instructional programs as necessary to ensure maximum progress and effectiveness.
- Identify and recommend to the superintendent any changes or modifications needed or necessary in the instructional programs or activities.
- Evaluate performance of all certified and non-certified staff.
- Provide recommendations to the superintendent regarding employment, re-employment, reassignment, or termination of all certified and non-certified staff.
- Conduct regularly scheduled faculty meetings, with an agenda designed to provide maximum communication to staff regarding the operations and instructional programs.
- Be responsible for the timely preparation and presentation of all reports or information required by federal and state laws, and the Superintendent, or Board of Education.
- Exercise authority and direction, invested by law, Board of Education policies, state regulations and rules, or administrative directives, over all personnel assigned to the High School. This includes all certified and non-certified personnel, and all students in the High School.
- Conduct parent conferences when necessary and needed.
- Be responsible for the dissemination of a positive public relations program to include information regarding the programs and activities in the various programs of the High School.
- Prepare and present recommendations for any repair or remodeling needs of the High School to the Superintendent.
- Present, with a recommendation, all requisitions for supplies, materials, equipment, or other items requiring funding to the Superintendent in a timely manner.
- Maintain a regular and effective line of communication with the Superintendent of Schools regarding all matters that may have an impact on the operations or image of the school district.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent of Schools.
- Participate on building and district leadership team.
- Provide supervision at athletic contests.
- Be a qualified Teacher Evaluator
Salary/Benefits
Salary to be determined annually by the Board of Education and be commensurate with work experience

Twelve (12) month position
Evaluated annually by the Superintendent of schools
Previous High School experience preferred
