Elementary Teacher (K- 4th Grade)

Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans that promote active learning using a direct and explicit model.
Develop lessons and assessments aligned with the district-approved curriculum.
Instruct and monitor students in utilizing learning materials in accordance with the district-approved curriculum.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Maintain discipline by adhering to the school's rules and disciplinary systems.
Encourage and monitor individual student progress, using this information to adjust teaching strategies and provide appropriate feedback on student work.
Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of students' progress and development.
Update all necessary records accurately and thoroughly as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations.
Prepare required reports.
Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
Communicate essential information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress.
Prepare the classroom for activities and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Engage in appropriate professional activities.

B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or in a related field.
Illinois State certification in teaching in the appropriate subject areas.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to report to work regularly and punctually.
Meet professional teacher education requirements established by the school, district, and state.

As per the salary schedule $51,010 - $90,316
