Duties
The Elementary School Paraprofessional – Behavioral & Academic Support provides targeted assistance to students who have exhibited behavioral challenges in the classroom. This individual supports students in catching up on missed or incomplete work due to behavioral incidents and may also assist with behavior management and academic engagement within the classroom setting. The paraprofessional works closely with building administration, teachers, social workers, and other school staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need to complete assignments missed due to behavioral incidents
- Reinforce positive behavior and provide redirection as needed in collaboration with classroom teachers and behavior specialists
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
- Supervise students during transitions, breaks, or non-instructional times as assigned
- Participate in training or professional development related to behavior support and intervention strategies

Pay = $16.58/hr - 7 hours per day (175 days during the school year)
