Duties

Morrisonville Community Unit School District #1 is seeking a motivated and passionate FFA Extracurricular Coach for the 2025–2026 school year. This position plays a critical role in assisting Mr. Bullard the full time Ag/FFA Teacher. This includes mentoring student leaders, guiding agricultural experiences, and supporting the continued success of the Morrisonville FFA Chapter.

The FFA Coach will work in coordination with the Agricultural Educational Teacher Mr. Josh Bullard to lead students in FFA-related activities, events, and competitions outside the classroom setting

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FFA mission, programs, and structure
• Agricultural education or related background preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Commitment to student development and agricultural literacy

Salary/Benefits

Pay will be based on the Extracurricular Stipend outlined in the Morrisonville Teacher Contract.

Additional Notes

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee extracurricular FFA events and activities
• Coach students for Career and Leadership Development Events.
• Support Supervised Agricultural Experience
• Assist with chapter meetings, officer elections, banquets, and service events
• Foster leadership, responsibility, and community engagement among members
• Coordinate with parents, community partners, and FFA alumni
• Ensure compliance with FFA, school, and state guidelines
• Demonstrated experience in planting and harvesting crops, including knowledge of seasonal practices, equipment use, and crop management.
• Hands-on experience with raising, working with, and showing farm animals, such as livestock handling, grooming, and show preparation.
• Strong proficiency in guiding students through the completion and maintenance of SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) record books, ensuring accuracy and alignment with FFA stand
