Duties
The successful candidate will primarily be teaching courses offered within the Agriculture Science pathway. Potential courses to be taught for the upcoming school year include: Introduction to Agriculture, Biological Science Applications in Agriculture - Plant, Dual Credit Animal Science and Veterinary Science. These are subject to change based on scheduling and staffing needs.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Agriculture Education or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS).
Certifications in CASE courses (AFNR, ASP, ASA) are encouraged, but not required in order to apply.
Training for CASE courses will be provided by the school district.
Salary/Benefits
Per the negotiated contract between McLean County Unit 5 and the United Five Education Association, for the 2025-2026 school year the starting salary range for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree is $41,804- $51,669 and is based on Education and Certified Teaching experience. For candidates with a Master's Degree, the range is $46,820-$60,197 and is based on Education and Certified Teaching experience.
