Duties

  • Assess student’s instructional needs and design instruction that promotes student success
  • Participate as a member of the IEP team by collaborating and designing the student’s educational program and preparing appropriate instructional goals for the student
  • Ability to work in a co-teaching setting
  • Ability to push in services into a general education classroom or provide pullout services as identified in the IEP
  • Collaborate with other professionals and student’s parents on the IEP team
  • Maintains open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and address their concerns
  • Performs routine progress monitoring to ensure that the student’s IEP goals are being met
  • Serves as a case manager for the student as requested
  • Maintains student’s records and enters data into student information system as needed
  • Computer and technology skills necessary for data entrance into student’s EasyIEP

Qualifications

Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in special education as a Learning and Behavior Specialist (LBS1 or 2)
