Duties
RTHS is seeking an English as a Secondary Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. Our student body has grown significantly over the past few years, so we want to continue to offer our students the best learning environment possible. The addition of this position will lower class sizes in several of our key classes and offer additional support thereby providing a better experience for our students and teachers. RTHS offers multiple levels of ESL including push in services to core subject area classes. RTHS is described as a small urban school in a rural setting. RTHS has a very diverse student body that is celebrated as strength of the school. The faculty and staff work within a collaborative culture. RTHS is committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining a diverse staff.
Qualifications
Illinois teacher licensure with the appropriate endorsements.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits can be found in the collective bargaining agreement at www.rths193.org. The school district recognizes years of service when placing teachers on the salary schedule. Salary is based on experience and education level. The school district pays 100% of the employee's healthcare insurance premiums. Tuition reimbursement is available for advanced education. RTHS has an established mentoring program for new teachers. Professional Development is highly encouraged and supported financially by the district.
