Duties
Supervise and coordinate activities of FJSPED classroom, related service providers and itinerant personnel. Help all students realize their potential and obtain maximum benefit from their educational experiences through direct services as well as through evaluation, consultation and indirect services to parents and teachers. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a consultant to the Director on all matters pertaining to classroom, related services and itinerant programs.
- Serve as chair or consultant of annual review conferences, and manifestation determinations for students in member school districts and programs.
- Coordinate special duties as assigned to area, such as ChildFind, audiologicals, transition, etc. in an organized and timely manner.
- Supervise and constructively advise FJSPED teachers, related services, itinerant staff, and program assistants.
- Oversee delivery and all aspects of related services and itinerant programs.
Qualifications
ISBE Licensure/Endorsement for Special Education Supervisor
Salary/Benefits
The school calendar will be assigned upon hiring. Central Office Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15 a.m. -3:45 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The salary is commensurate with experience, and salary and benefits are regionally competitive.
