Duties

This position consists of teaching a full day Pre-K program through the ROE #13 Preschool For All grant. Our desired applicant will:

  • Demonstrate understanding of child development
  • Coordinate, communicate with, and effectively lead preschool team members (two full-time paraprofessionals, multiple related service providers
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for 3-5 year old students
  • Conduct large group, small group and individual learning experiences
  • Differentiate instruction based on student needs and learning goals
  • Prepare and maintain a high quality, safe, linguistically/culturally sensitive, and engaging learning environment
  • Preschool classroom environment will be monitored by the state periodically using the ECERS-3
  • Utilize formal and informal assessment systems to collect student data, monitor progress and inform instructional decisions
  • Engage in reflective practices to develop plans for student goals and improving classroom practices
  • Participate in development and implementation of IEP goals; schedule and facilitate IEP meetings
  • Develop partnerships with preschool families through daily communication, conferences and parent-child activities
  • Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings
  • Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and providing student information as required by district procedures, the PFA grant, and applicable laws
  • Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities, school and program meetings and trainings
  • Selects requests appropriate materials, books, and classroom supplies/equipment and maintains inventory records
  • Most importantly - LOVES littles and becomes a part of the Selmaville family

Qualifications

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Endorsement and Early Childhood Special Education approval
  • Interest and/or experience working with at-risk and students with special needs.

Salary/Benefits

Salary based on level of education and years of experience as set by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Selmaville Education Association and the Selmaville CCSD #10 Board of Education.  The Board pays 6% of TRS for each teacher. Starting pay for new teachers during the 2025-2026 school year will be $44,240.
