Duties
- Arrange coaches for each sport in a timely manner.
- Schedule games and distribute copies of the schedule for each sport to the appropriate coach.
- Arrange for referees or umpires to officiate games.
- Schedule scorekeeper, clock keeper, and person to take admissions for home games.
- Notify coaches and referees if an event must be canceled or rescheduled as early as possible, using AlertNow.
- Communicate with coaches with respect to uniforms, equipment, supplies, and concerns they may have over games two weeks prior to the first scheduled game.
- Complete and submit IESA paperwork.
- Attend conference and IESA meetings. Attend seeding meetings if the coach is unable to attend.
- Attend all home games in each sport, as well as any tournament held at Ransom Grade School or make arrangements for the Superintendent, Principals, or Lead Teacher to be present. Attend any home games as well as any tournament held at St. Michaels School OR arrange for a St. Michael Athletic Board Member to be present.
- Order any necessary trophies.
- Coordinate the Awards Banquet.
- Obtain nominations from the coaching staff for the Harold McKenzie Award, Robert J. Soper Award, LLC Award, and Male Athlete of the Year.
- Monitor the weekly academic eligibility of student players.
- Prepare all written materials for distribution to parents, students, coaches, and referees.
- Keep updated on IESA rules.
- Coordinate and attempt to sponsor tournaments and shootouts to be held at Ransom Grade School and St. Michael School.
- Work with other Athletic Directors to organize the athletic program.
- Collect and organize all student athlete paperwork such as sports physicals, insurance forms and fees.
- Monitor sports intergovernmental agreements for compliance.
- Verify all scheduled game locations and times the Monday prior to the game.
- Host preseason parent information meetings.
- Coordinate 2 Cooperative Board meetings per year between St. Michael and Ransom Grade School.
- Order equipment as needed, including uniforms, balls, scoreboards, etc.
- Attend St. Michael Athletic Board meetings throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned by administration, which are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications of the position.
This person will work closely with the St. Michael School Athletic Board, which will share some of the responsibilities listed above.

Schedules for next year (2025-2026) have already been completed by current Athletic Director.
