Establish a sound educational setting by providing resources to the classroom conducive to learning
Be knowledgeable of resources available to libraries both print and digital
Aid classroom instruction by identifying materials and on-line supports for student learning
Facilitate the work of ongoing volunteers to support library activities
Perform administrative aspects of librarianship, including supervision of personnel associated with school library, administering school library budget, etc.
Keep faculty and staff up to date on services provided by the library and maximize student use
Work with staff to purchase and select appropriate materials to support all curriculum content areas
Perform other duties as assigned.

Valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License with Library Information Specialist Endorsement that covers at least K-5

In accordance with current SEA negotiated agreement;

(the SEA Certified Salary Schedule for 25-26 is currently being reviewed)

First contractual day of the 2025-2026 District 186 180-day calendar

Various Locations – Dubois, Harvard Park, Matheny-Withrow, McClernand, Southern View and Wilcox (subject to change based on need)
