Duties

-Demonstrate qualification and competency with area of assigned instruction.

-Effectively communicate content knowledge and applications in area of assigned instruction.

-Design/implement instruction in compliance with prescribed district curriculum and objectives.

-Utilize instructional tools and apply instructional strategy of current best practice.

-Communicate with parents positively, professionally, and regularly including parent teacher
conferencing.

-Engage students in whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.

-Establish/maintain standards of student conduct and control required to achieve full participation in all activities.

-Create/maintain an organized, uncluttered workspace with display emphasis on function and content.

-Engage supervisor cooperatively.

-Engage/interacts with colleagues respectfully.

-Maintain/provide records including, but not limited to the evaluation of student performance, with accuracy and according the timeline requested.

-Engage in professional development.

-Participate in school-wide supervision of students during out of classroom activity.

-Participate in staff meetings, district/school committees.

-Participate in student activities by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or coaching.

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

-Credentials: Valid IL teaching license with proper endorsements

-Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree including coursework to meet credential requirements

-Experience: Student Teaching, Internship, or Previous Employment in Teaching Position  

-Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

-Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary/Benefits

In accordance with the agreement between the Board of Education and the Teachers Unions.

Bonfield Grade School is part of Herscher CUSD#2, a PreK-12 public school district located in North Central Illinois. We have a district student population of approximately 1670.
