Duties

  • Create a supportive and effective learning climate and culture.
  • Develop and implement the school improvement process with the Building Leadership Team.
  • Develop programming and courses to support learning for all students.
  • Support all staff with high expectations and clear communication. 
  • Be visible and engaged within the building and school events.
  • Create a clear communication method with families of the learning community.
  • Establish a strong instructional framework as the instructional leaders of the building.
  • Manage building data to create learning goals and targets.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the implementation of all school activities.
  • Establishes and maintains favorable relationships with the local community.
  • Administer Board policies and administrative procedures with integrity.
  • Provide oversight and guidance with all school departments: special education, support services, athletics, custodial/maintenance. 
  • Evaluate staff and provide meaningful professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain records to support district, ROE, and state requirements. 
  • Establish a strong and engaged parent support group for school functions. 
  • Participates in administration meetings, Board meetings, PPA meetings, District Leadership Team and other District Committee meetings. 
  • Prepares and submits the school’s yearly budgetary requests and monitors expenditures of funds.
  • Establishes and implements emergency procedures aligned with the district safety team.
  • Prepares and submits recommendations relative to all matters requiring Board action to Central Office.
  • Assists in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of the school's professional staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Administrative Licensure, Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Completed Teacher Evaluation State Courses, Leadership experience is preferred, and any other requirements established by state licensure authorities.
