Duties

Communications

  1. Create a variety of content to support communications, both internally and externally, that align with the mission of the organization including advertisements, posters, flyers, and social media graphics for events, as well as important announcements and achievements.
  2. Stay up-to-date on trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communication strategies and best practices.
  3. Develop ideas and disseminate accurate information, respond to external inquiries, and maintain open communication and relationships with all constituencies.
  4. Assist with additional projects as assigned, including the organization and management of ROE #11.
  5. Assume follow up responsibilities for various projects, advises the Regional Superintendent of their status, and makes recommendations as necessary.

 Community Partnerships

  1. Perform outreach to build strategic partnerships with the community, including school districts, social and human service organizations, legislators, media, higher education, and additional partners.
  2. Collaborate with other individuals, both internally and externally, in event planning.
  3. Represent ROE #11 on various community driven committees as assigned.

Qualifications

1.  Bachelor's degree 

2.  Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office, Google, Canva, other design/publishing progrmas, and social media platforms

3.  Excellent human relations and oral and written communications skills

Salary/Benefits

This is a 12 month, non-exempt position that will work 37.5 hours per week, usually between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.  A competitive salary and benefits will be determined based upon qualifications and experience.  The salary will be determined based on an hourly rate of pay.  ROE #11 offers excellent benefits.  Salary range:  $45,000-$50,000.

The Director of Communications & Community Partnerships assists in the operation of the Regional Office of Education #11 by developing and maintaining internal and external communications and various partnerships supportive of ROE #11’s mission.
