Duties

Duties:                            

  1. Assist HS Principal in all aspects related to the management of the high school.
  2. Assist with special projects assigned by the administration.
  3. Assist in the formulation of a philosophy and student-oriented objectives for the instructional programming at the high school.
  4. Guide the development, alignment, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services for grades 5-12 in conjunction with the JH Assistant Principal.
  5. Assist in the development of budget sections that pertain to curriculum alignment and textbook purchases.
  6. Keep abreast of developments in curriculum and instruction and furnish leadership in determining their appropriateness for inclusion in the district educational program.
  7. Communicate effectively to the professional staff.
  8. Assist HS Principal with evaluating staff and observing teachers in their classrooms while providing insight for the enhancement of the teaching-learning environment.
  9. Supervise and maintain extra-curricular activities in which the high school activities and programs are engaged.
  10. Support student conduct through established disciplinary procedures and enforce the student handbook.
  11. Prepare state and federal reports as required.
  12. Assist with high school guidance department as needed:
    1. Assist with master schedule development
    2. Assist with college and career readiness reporting
  13. Serve as HS 504 Coordinator. Lead the 504 team in the determination of eligibility and implementation of 504 accommodation plans, when appropriate.
  14. Collect and analyze benchmarking data and assist with the development and implementation of RTI plans.
  15. Assist with supervision of hallways and common areas before and after school and between passing periods.
  16. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications

Qualifications:                Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Administrative Endorsement. Preferred evidence of successful teaching/administrative experience at the 9-12 level, proven leadership ability, strong community relations, instructional leadership evidence with best practices, social emotional learning proficiency with evidence of restorative practices, strong communication skills with parents, students, and staff.

Salary & Benefits:          View here. Regionally competitive based on years of experience. Salary range: $70,000-$90,000
