Duties

Ball-Chatham School District is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Coach for the 2024-2025 season. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students' athletic growth and development while being part of a dedicated, supportive school community

Qualifications

• Apply effective coaching strategies 
• Oversee the assistant coaches and relevant staff of the program
• Prepare students mentally and physically for interscholastic competition
• Accurately evaluate student-athletes’ skills and abilities
• Prepare daily practice schedules
• Apply scouting and statistical data to improve team and individual success
• Competent in knowledge and application of off-season programs
• Take initiative to improve knowledge base and stay up-to-date with the evolution of the sport
• Uses sounds strategies that reflect good sportsmanship
• Meets the demands of leading an education-based athletic program
• Takes an active role in educating student-athletes on positive life choices
• Communicates effectively with all stakeholders
• Collaborates with other coaches, programs and administrators appropriately 
• Stays current on all licensures and certifications
• Oversees program inventory of equipment, supplies, and uniforms
• Works effectively with athletic trainer
• Ensures team website is up-to-date and appropriately uses/oversees the use of social media
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
