Duties

  1. Administrative Duties:
    • Assist with the scheduling, promotion, and organization of workshops.
    • Keep track of attendance and any necessary follow-up actions with participants.
    • Manage any materials/handouts needed for the workshop.
  2. Collaboration with Teachers:
    • Work alongside teachers to plan and organize workshops that align with curriculum goals and address student needs.
    • Assist in creating content or adapting materials for the workshop, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for parents.
    • Provide input on the design and structure of workshops, bringing an understanding of parent perspectives.
  3. Workshop Facilitation:
    • Lead and facilitate workshops for parents, creating a positive and interactive learning environment.
    • Collaborate with teachers to present educational content in an engaging manner, using a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
    • Provide guidance and clarification on topics covered in the workshop, helping participants understand the material in depth.
  4. Parental Engagement:
    • Serve as a liaison between teachers and parents to foster communication and involvement in the educational process.
    • Support parents in understanding how to help their children at home with learning, behavior, and other school-related topics.
    • Offer resources and strategies for parents to support their child’s learning and development.
  5. Student Support:
    • Assist students in workshops, providing additional support where needed.
    • Help create an inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable and motivated to participate.
    • Encourage teamwork and collaboration among students during workshop activities.
  6. Monitoring and Feedback:
    • Gather feedback from parents to assess the effectiveness of the workshop.
    • Analyze and report on workshop outcomes, making suggestions for improvements in future sessions.
    • Provide input to teachers on student progress and challenges.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A parent or guardian actively involved in the Nob Hill School community.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.

Patience, empathy, and a desire to support students and parents in the learning process

Salary/Benefits

Beginning salary at $25/Hour
