Duties

Primary Responsibilities

  • Attain certification as a food handler as well as all trainings and background checks required for human resources
  • Collaborate with Student Culture Coordinator on proper cafeteria behavior norms including student table etiquette and appropriate conversation topics
  • Keep accurate records of meals served
  • Store student cold lunches in the refrigerator
  • Re-decorate the cafeteria every quarter and ensure that it is an appealing environment
  • Serve breakfast and lunch according to procedures detailed by Cafeteria Manager
  • Store commodities in proper places
  • Thoroughly clean every part of the kitchen including the refrigerator and warmers
  • Clean tables and floors after breakfast and lunch
  • Serve as Pre-K aide: 
    • Follow directions and protocols outlined by Pre-K Teacher
    • Prepare materials as directed
    • Work one-on-one with students as directed
    • Uphold social-emotional language standards for student discipline and behavior incentives
  • Assist the Principal or Student Culture Coordinator as directed with items like sorting, decorating

 

Qualifications

High school diploma

Salary/Benefits

7:30-3:30, $17 hourly, 30 minute unpaid lunch, no benefits
