Duties

  • Assist Lead Instructional Coach in the areas of literacy, professional development and school improvement.

  • Research and provide content knowledge and resources to staff about learning and teaching, including the following:               

    • Teaching strategies/instructional practice

    • Assessment design       

    • Interpretation of assessment results/data analysis

  • Research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative instructional strategies including: 

    • individual discussions (informal and formal);

    • coaching sessions;

    • demonstration lessons with pre-and post-discussion/analysis;

    • study groups;

    • staff meetings; and       

    • professional development programs

  • Maintain/complete documentation consistently, appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate/facilitate instructional material pilots

  • Maintain the confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.

  • Obtain prior approval from the Regional Superintendent before distributing written communication and other media.

  • Attend statewide meetings and other committees as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; Master's preferred.

  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License

  • Knowledge of content standards.
  • Experience in researched-based instructional practices.

  • Desire to continue career improvement.

  • Have a valid driver's license.

Salary/Benefits

Salary/Benefits will be regionally competitive depending on education and experience.
