Duties
ECHO Joint Agreement is seeking an Educational Technology Specialist to enhance instructional services to our students with special needs and provide professional development to special educators. This position requires the Educational Technology Specialist to evaluate current and potential applications for classroom use. Applicant must understand, use, and troubleshoot applications to ensure seamless integration into the curriculum. The Educational Technology Specialist will provide timely support to teachers for the effective utilization of digital tools, programs, and applications.
Job Summary:
Reports to the Director of Technology. Collaborate with the Curriculum Specialist and the technology team to support cohesive instructional technology strategies. Work closely with district and program administrators to enhance the overall professional development experience. Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities on innovative technologies and applications.
Qualifications
At least 5 years teaching experience; LBSI and experience, coursework, endorsement or degree in educational technology preferred; Experience with instructional coaching and/or teacher leader role and a proven ability to collaborate effectively; Strong knowledge of educational technology current trends and best practices in online and blended learning; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and provide creative solutions Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for assignment. Experience in educational technology required.
Salary/Benefits
Working Conditions:
220 Day work year. Excellent working conditions. Working in collaboration as part of a team to serve our special students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
