Duties
Regional System Director Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
? Develop short and long-term plans aligned to the regional Perkins Comprehensive Local Needs
Assessment
? Monitor implementation of CTEI and Perkins grants
? Provide leadership for the Regional Career and Technical Education community
? Use Perkins V performance data to improve the regional delivery of CTE
? Serve as the Program of Study Coordinator for all career/technical education programs in the Region
? Hold primary responsibility for data collection and reporting to the State, including claims and Career &
Technical Education Data System information
? Serve as the primary point of contact between ISBE and the Region for CTE programs
? Represent the Region on State committees, at professional conferences and to government bodies
? Establishes partnerships with area businesses, institutions of higher education, and community groups to
strengthen programs and support regional goals
Qualifications
Have a Bachelor of Science degree in education in one of the career and technical education
program areas
Hold a current Administrative Certificate with a Type 75
Possess 2000 hours of work experience in one of the five occupational areas
