Duties
The certified school nurse coordinates the school health program including the delivery of services to students and serves as the health resource to staff members in order to enhance health and wellness in the school community.

Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy and administration regulation

Advises District personnel on health matters, particularly regarding health problems, communicable diseases and special health needs of the students

Participates in special education and 504 meetings as appropriate

Collaborate with community healthcare providers to enhance access to care for students.

Works with the District special education team in assessing, evaluating and reporting health information

Assist in the development of school health policy

Functions within the guidelines of the Illinois Nursing Act Standard of Professional Conduct for Registered Professional Nurses

Adheres to the published policies and procedures of the district
